With over 35 years in insurance and financial services, Bobby Deaton has dedicated his career to helping businesses and families protect what matters most. As the founder of The Deaton Agency, he combines deep expertise with a client-first approach—delivering tailored solutions, trusted guidance, and peace of mind for every client.
Bobby began his career in benefits with Prudential, where he developed the foundation for what would become a long and successful career. In 2001, he founded The Deaton Agency—an independent firm dedicated to personalized insurance and financial services rooted in relationships, integrity, and service. His vision continues to guide the agency today.
Bobby has remained deeply involved in the Waco community throughout his career. He has served on boards including Waco K-Life, the Midway ISD Board of Trustees, Ridgewood Country Club, and the Waco Chamber of Commerce. He and his family are also active members of Harris Creek Baptist Church.
Bobby and his wife, Jennifer, returned to Waco in 1989 to raise their family after he played professional basketball in France following college. They now have four married children and an ever-growing number of grandchildren.
Known for transparency and a relational leadership style, Bobby is proud to lead a true family business—working alongside his sons, Joshua and Tanner, to carry the agency forward into the next generation.

Bobby was born and raised in Waco. He has worked in insurance and financial services for 35 years. After college, Bobby played professional basketball in France and began his career with Prudential in 1987. In 1989, Bobby and his wife Jennifer moved back to Waco and began their family. In 2001, Bobby became an independent agent and started The Deaton Agency. Bobby prides himself on building strong relationships with his clients and groups, ensuring they are grounded in trust and reliability. Bobby has served on many boards in our community, including Waco K-Life, Midway ISD Board of Trustees, Ridgewood Country Club, and Waco Chamber of Commerce. Bobby and his wife, Jennifer, are Harris Creek Baptist Church members. They have four married children and four grandchildren.
